On a day like today.

Well, now that February's half gone...
It's really time to start getting down to the nitty gritty {who doesn't love Nacho Libre?? - the ONE Jack Black movie that I can stand}
I turned in my resume and cover letter to be graded {after 3+ different reviews of it} and will start applying for new grad nursing jobs around March 15.
JUST around the corner.

School is such a whirlwind.
Maybe because this semester is just one big ball of disorganization.
I feel like I'm coming and going at the same time, not knowing which class I'm sitting in until it actually starts, just hoping I printed off the right stuff and got my assignments done on time.

Guys, I'm not even exaggerating.

And my whole desk area is such a mess because there are papers just hanging out waiting to be filed away in the right spots.
A few weeks ago, I applied to take my NCLEX-RN {the licensure examination for registered nurses} and it was NOT cheap.
And I still have to go online, pay for my background check, and schedule a time to hit Columbia to be fingerprinted JUST so I can take my NCLEX-RN exam in May.
And I had to go get and turn in a passport picture JUST so I can take my NCLEX-RN.
This test is no joke.
I'm supposed to be answering 200+ NCLEX practice questions a day just to get ready for this test.
I do what I can.

I could write and write and write about school, but instead, I'll tell you about today.
So Far...

We woke up early in the morning and made a coffee run in to Irmo to Loveland Coffee.
We got a bag of beans - my favorite, Monsooned Malibar.
And, for Roger, the Mayan Mocha, for me... Ole Espanol!!
Hailee got a strawberry smoothie :)

From there, it was off to the mall!!
Originally, we were going to take Hailee to the Barnyard Flea Market, but due to inclement weather {umm... a few snow flurries mixed in with cold rain} we had to change our plans.
So, we decided to hit up Build-a-Bear!!
Hailee's quite the impulse buyer and pretty much settled on the 1st bear she put her hands on...
A pink one with a princess crown.
I think she's pretty partial to princesses too.

After they stuffed and fluffed the bear, she named it Princess Delustia.
{she makes up some crazy names}
Got the bear some panties, a dress, and a pair of shoes...ALL PINK... we checked out in the most cramped among cramped situations because there was a party going on at Build -a-Bear. Kids were everywhere, then started marching around us shouting, "STUFF MY BEAR!!" all the way to the fluff machine. We got out of there quick because I was afraid Hailee would try and jump in line and join them ;)

Then, on for lunch in the food court, amidst the excitement of all the shoppers talking about the possibility of snow and asking if we'd been outside and seen any.
No. Only saw a little sleet.

and yes, we all had something different, thanks to the the wonderfulness of the food court.

Our main goal of the day was to find Roger the perfect desk.
I did not add that we also went to 2 thrift stores, Big Lots, Lowes, {online target} and finally Walmart, looking for this desk.

By about 1:30, she was OUT!
No more stores. She admitted she was tired of shopping.

But you better believe her eyes POPPED OPEN the minute we pulled into our bumpy, gravel driveway.
She promptly introduced Sweet Hello Kitty {her 1st Build-a-Bear} to Princess Delustia, and they have not been separated all day.

She even tried to help Roger with the desk.

That did not last very long.
So, I had her in the kitchen, helping me with the dishes.

But then, Low and Behold,
THIS happened.

** she was kind of cold, had to grab her mittens **

So, it wasn't exactly snow.
It thundered twice.
It was hard white frozen balls.
Like snow-ball-ice-pellets.
And it only lasted about 5 minutes.
And now it's gone.
But, hey! It was interesting while it lasted.

Friday, I cooked a turkey in my crock pot - Oh, it was Juicy, but caused a bit of confusion...
SO... I put the turkey in the crock pot around 10 {AFTER roger went to bed} so it would cook all night.
Upon waking up, Roger searched the entire house to see where the "smell" was coming from.
I mean, it didn't smell amazing while it was cooking or anything...
When he was walking out the door, he finally realized what it was.
Today, I shredded a bunch of it up, mixed it with cream of chicken soup, Salt/Pepper, and Le Sueur Peas & Carrots - cooked it at 350 for 20 minutes -- spread crescent rolls on top of it and cooked till they were done.
So Good.

Oh, and I won a giveaway over at Dawnelle's blog for DownTown Tape's 10 rolls of washi tape and 25 tags.
It Came On Valentines day!!!!
What a super awesome V-day gift.
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE washi tape??
because i do...

and last but not least...
This song has been running through my head for the last week!!
i LOVE lenka!!
Heart Skips A Beat.
